"Come My Way"

My heart did hunger
for You tonight, in the
deep darkness of my
lonely room

For I felt the pains of
loneliness, that most
times accompanies
a quiet gloom

I felt the harsh pains of
separation, as I did
not have that of which I
daily need

So I called out to You with
much fervent prayer, to bring
Your special love I need to me

But no answer found its way
to my hearts door, and what
was now locked so securely
away

Would never be found
to begin to change, the
complexion of my coming
day

For maybe I committed
a dreadful sin, or was it
something I forgot
to do or say

I only know that
tonight I am unhappy,
because You are far
away from where I
lay

Remember me this night
my love, and not
hesitate to send me a
sweet taste

Of the heaven that lives
within your well of
love, as I promise not
a drop will I surely waste

For the peace that lives
deep inside of my heart,
I want with me to always
stay

As I pray that when my new
day awakens, that you will
quickly come again my way.

A Once Silent Dream

 A silent dream
once was mine
to share with the
loneliness of my
heart…

A silent dream
was the only
thing that could
console the most
empty parts…

Of a heart that sought
so restlessly, to find
a love that he alone
could claim…

Whose sweetness
could lift up my spirit,
making my heart to
sing out her name

The silent dream
was my only friend
for so many days and
as many years…

And inside the walls
of this cold, cold
dream was found
written my heart’s
many tears…

Yet as a daffodil
reaches for
the sun…so did
my heart reach out
to you

On that wonderful
day that we first met
and I realized what
I now had to do

For I had to grasp
the reality of love’s
happiness that you
alone did possess…

And I knew that
I had found that
long awaited key
that would set
my heart free
from unhappiness

The silent dream
spoke out in pleasure
as a rose feels
the long awaited
kiss of the sun…

Because it finally
tasted of a true reality,
when my heart
your heart had won.
