Deep Within

One might can take
away the stars from
the night and leave
an empty sky.

One might can take
the sun away causing
its once radiant light
To fade and die.

One might can take
the rain away so our
tears we can no longer
hide.

But one can never take
Your love dear Lord,
from its cherished place
within my heart and mind.
